Winbox APK for Android: download and install

Four steps put the Winbox casino app on your Android phone. The only tricky part is a one-time permission, and this guide shows you exactly where it is.

Before you start

Three things to check first

  • Chrome or your phone's own browser

Open this page in Chrome, Samsung Internet or the browser that came with your phone. Browsers inside chat apps often block APK downloads.

  • Some free storage

The APK file and the installed app both need space. If your phone is nearly full, clear a few old videos or apps you no longer use.

  • A stable connection

A download that drops halfway leaves a broken file that won't install. Wi-Fi is the safest choice.

Step by step

Install the Winbox APK in four steps

Do them in order. Step two only happens once: after you allow your browser, you won't see that prompt again.

  1. Step 1 of 4

    Download the APK

Tap Download APK on this page. Your browser saves the Winbox APK to your Downloads folder. If Chrome says the file might be harmful, tap Download anyway.

TipCheck that the file name ends in .apk, with nothing after it.

  2. Step 2 of 4

    Allow install from this source

Tap the finished download to open it. The first time, Android stops and asks for permission. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source for your browser, then go back.

TipClosed the prompt by mistake? The table below shows where the setting lives on your phone.

  3. Step 3 of 4

    Tap Install

Android shows the app name and an Install button. Tap it and wait a few seconds. If Play Protect pops up, tap More details, then Install anyway.

  4. Step 4 of 4

    Open and log in

Tap Open, or find the Winbox icon on your home screen or in your app drawer. Log in if you already have an account, or tap Register to create one.

Install unknown apps

Where the setting is on your phone

Closed the prompt in step two? Turn the setting on by hand, or open Settings and search "unknown apps".

Updates

Updating the Winbox APK

When a new version comes out, you install it over the old one. You don't need to uninstall first.

  1. Download the new APK from the Download button on this page. Don't reuse an old file sitting in your Downloads folder.
  2. Open it and tap Update (some phones say Install). Android replaces the old app and keeps it on your home screen.
  3. Open the app and log in again if it asks.

Your account stays the same: it isn't stored in the app. If the update stops with "App not installed", uninstall the old version and install the new file fresh.More on "App not installed".

Q&A

Android questions

More in the full FAQ.

Why does my phone say the APK might be harmful?

Android shows this warning for any app downloaded outside Google Play, not just Winbox. If you got the file from a link you trust and the name ends in .apk, you can continue. If you are not sure where the file came from, delete it and download again.

What do I do when Play Protect warns me?

Play Protect checks every APK installed from a file rather than from an app store. If you downloaded the Winbox APK from a link you trust, tap More details, then Install anyway. If you don't see that option, the file may be damaged, so delete it and download it again.

Play Protect fix, step by step
Why does it say "App not installed"?

Usually one of three things: an older Winbox app on the phone that conflicts with the new file, a download that didn't finish, or not enough free storage. Uninstall the old app, free some space, then download the APK again on a stable connection.

Where did the APK file go after I downloaded it?

Android saves it in your Downloads folder. Open the Files or My Files app, go to Downloads, and tap the file whose name ends in .apk. You can also open it from your browser's download list.

Ready?

Download the APK. You're four taps away.
